Lindsay, Steven and Kathleen Homesteading and growing fruit trees

Hello friends, family, fine folks –

Thank you for sharing your love and support for our new life together. As we set off on the big adventure, we (Steven, Lindsay, and Kathleen) will be crafting a small farm to steward, care for, and call our home. This land will hopefully host many years of learning and growing, deepening roots in our community and living with the seasons.

Your love and support are already generous gifts and we want to express that no wedding gift is expected or necessary. However, it is often the tradition to give a gift, and for those who want to, we have tried to find a few ways of spreading that giving spirit around. We suggest either giving a fruit tree for our future orchard or donating to one of the organizations listed below - groups we both believe are working to shape a more peaceful, inclusive, thriving world.

Though we are still searching for land, once we find the place and settle we will use the tree donations to buy young tree stock for an orchard. Hopefully the trees will bear sweet fruit for years to come, so each time you visit you can rest in the shade of your gift and taste a little piece of what it has become. Once the land is prepared, we would like to invite all those interested to a home warming day, a time to break bread and break ground together, sharing a meal, music, fire to bless the new land and planting the trees that carry the memory of our wedding celebration.

With love and gratitude,

Lindsay and Steven
